Big "YOSHII" towel

The “Yoshii Towel” factory is located in the Imabari region of Ehime Prefecture, an area in Japan renowned for producing the highest quality towels for over a century. Since 1957, the Yoshii Towel Company has been crafting towels using carefully hand-selected Indian cotton. The company developed a loosely twisted thread called amaori, which allows the towels to absorb moisture exceptionally well—even when brand new. Unlike many other towels, they remain soft even after washing and never become stiff. In addition, they dry quickly and are remarkably gentle to the touch.

The towel itself is quite thin, despite being double-layered—something both unique and distinctive. One side is made from a gauze-like fabric, while the other features an exceptionally soft terry cloth. A special technique is used in Yoshii’s towel production to bond these two fabrics together, ensuring they stay seamlessly connected without shifting.
